Where BESS performance becomes decision-grade.

What BenchmarkPro actually does for your asset

We turn hindsight into actionable intelligence. BenchmarkPro replays your battery's history under strict physical limits to create an attainable revenue baseline, allowing you to clearly separate market headwinds from operational misses.

From realised P&L to attainable P&L

Most BESS reporting starts and ends with realised P&L. That number blends together market prices, asset constraints and aggregator choices, so it is hard to tell whether a weak year comes from bad conditions or from underperformance.

BenchmarkPro approaches the problem from the other end. We first ask what your asset could have reasonably earned if a disciplined, physics-aware trader had operated it through the same historical prices. Only then do we compare that attainable P&L with what your optimiser or aggregator actually delivered.

The result is not another forecast, but an evidence-based twin: an asset-specific benchmark that behaves like a cautious but competent trader running your battery inside real constraints.

At the core of BenchmarkPro is a dispatch engine that rebuilds your battery’s life in 15-minute steps. We reproduce the trading sequence as it happens, making Day-Ahead commitments first, then adjusting in Intraday, and finally settling Real-Time imbalances under the exact physics of your site. This creates a consistent twin you can use to audit performance:

  • See how often the asset was idle when it could have worked.
  • Identify intervals where it stayed in the wrong product.
  • Check how bids reacted – or failed to react – to price signals.
  • Zoom out to monthly revenue stacks or in to critical days.

Trusted by owners, investors and optimisers

A benchmark only deserves to be called bankable if financial stakeholders agree with the approach, understand the assumptions and trust the execution. In BenchmarkPro, we expose the key levers that change P&L (efficiency, cycling limits, degradation, product arbitrage) so you can trace revenue gaps back to concrete decisions. This transparency turns the model from a black box into a standing reference for commercial discussions:

  • Owners use it as an independent reference when reviewing optimiser performance and deciding whether to retender or renegotiate.
  • Investors and lenders use it in due diligence to cross-check business plans and understand whether past revenue trajectories were operator- or market-driven.
  • Optimisers use it to evidence their added value, showing how their decisions track or outperform a cautious, physics-aware benchmark.
